FAQ

 Shipping Instructions:

PLEASE NOTE: Prior authorization is required before shipping your equipment.

DO NOT ship unless you've obtained my permission.

All authorizations expire in 15-days.

If shipping your equipment, please be sure it is well packed. The carrier may not honor an insurance claim if it is not properly packed.

If you have the original box(es) and styrofoam inserts, please use them (but only if they're in decent condition). Also be sure to enclose the rig in a plastic bag before sliding it into the styrofoam inserts.

If your radio only came with one box, add an outer box (double-boxed).

Some rigs came with one or two outer boxes. Please use them (if they're in good shape).

If you don't have the original box(es), tightly wrap the rig in many layers of large bubble-wrap and double-box it. Use styrofoam materials for filler, and use proper packing tape. Please do not use crumpled newspaper or duct tape.

There is no need to include any accessories (such as microphone, power cable, manual, etc.), unless I request it.

Please include a packing slip with your name, address, call sign, and contact information. Also include a description of repair(s) needed. Click here for a form you can fill out and print.

You may ship your equipment via your preferred carrier. But I strongly prefer UPS. They are reliable and predictable. I always know when to expect them. FedEx tends to deliver too late in the day or evening. And I do not recommend the U.S. Postal Service, which is slow and unreliable in my rural area.

Note: I will ship your equipment back via UPS Ground. I have an account with them, and they pickup at my location.

If you've obtained authorization to ship your equipment, please send it to:
