What kind of equipment do you service?
Modern HF/VHF/UHF multi-mode transceivers, receivers and accessories (Icom, Kenwood, Yaesu, and a few others). See my Repair List for details.
Do you service HT's?
No.
Do you service amplifiers?
Yes, some amplifiers. But I do not accept shipments. Amps must be dropped-off (by appointment).
Do you service land-mobile, marine, or CB equipment?
No.
What are your rates?
$48 per hour, prorated. See Rates & Policies for details.
What is your turn-around time?
Usually, one week or less... sometimes longer, if parts need to be ordered... or if there are any unusual or intermittent problems.
What shipping service do you use?
I use UPS Ground exclusively. I have an account with UPS, and they pick up packages at my shop.
Do you accept international shipments?
Sorry, I only accept shipments from the Continental U.S.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Check, money order, PayPal, or credit cards through PayPal.
Do you sell parts or manuals?
No.
Can I drop off or pick up my equipment?
Yes, by appointment only.
Will you do repairs while I wait?
Sorry, no.
Can you do modifications?
It depends on what sort of modification. I can do factory-recommended updates (service bulletins) and some other modifications. Some mods I consider worth doing. Some I don't. I will not do "PIN diode" or "Schottky diode" mods. Nor will I increase transmitter output beyond manufacturer's specifications.
